Steve Roth, Roundtable Chairman introduced Douglas Agnes of Baltimore Gas & Electric Company for the presentation.

Doug began with a video on BGE Outdoor Lighting followed by his presentation on Dark Skies. Dark Skies is an initiative sponsored by the Dark Skies Association concerned with the goal of preserving and protecting the nighttime environment through quality outdoor lighting. We discussed the need for lighting, defined lighting terminology and fixtures available to satisfy those needs.

Capt. Ron Schwartz from Precinct 7 reported that the theft of laptops is down and crime in general in the Precinct has declined. Ron cautioned about the coming holiday season. Bob Steffey of SHA reported that work on the Timonium Road intersection at I-83 will be completed by next summer. Work continues on the intersection of Shawan and York Roads in the vicinity of North Park and will completed by next spring. The intersection will be open during construction.
