HVBF Monthly Meeting - Facilities,
Security, Transportation Roundtable Host: Loyola College in Maryland Attending: Pam Balcerak, Eastern Savings Bank Chairman Steve Roth introduced Phil Haney of Moore Wallace Business Communications Services. To say that Moore Wallace did printing and mailing services would be correct but a large understatement. More exactly, their services can be described as mail outsourcing. For clients such as Baltimore Gas & Electric Company and Verizon Wireless, their services include printing and mailing invoices with postage. There are USPS personnel in their plants to perform the postage services. Their critical mail services include bills and invoices, statements, notices, critical letters, checks, cards, inserts, federal forms such as W-2, 1099 and 5498 and electronic bill presentment and payment. Moore Wallace is a member of the Hunt Valley Business Forum. For more information on their services contact Phil at phillip.haney@ moorewallace.com or call 410-581-8922 x11. Reminder: The Constellation Energy Classic will be held September 27-October 3, 2004. Member Constellation Energy sponsors this Champions Tour golf event. Constellation Classic is making available tickets at special prices for the members of the Forum. More information on the tickets will be emailed to you. Contact Jeff at jeffm@pipco.com or call 410-234-6224 for more information. Marty Lurz gave a public safety report. Indecent exposure and bank robbery are some of the current events. Marty asked that if you are ever witness to the explosion of a dye pack after a bank robbery, call 911 at once with the location. Marty cautioned that illegal entry into some places of business protected by magnetically controlled security devices is becoming more common. If you are concerned about your electronic security, contact Marty for an on site review of your system at jlurz@co.ba.md.us or phone: 410-887-1828. Randall Scott gave the SHA report on road construction and the projected completion dates of some of the most critical areas. Randy had available copies of the 2004 Maryland Highway Improvement Program. This is a handy guide to projects planned for this year. Keith Link, Baltimore County Traffic Engineer, reports that Baltimore County will be conducting a terrorism drill at the MTA Light Rail Lot on Shawan Rd. on 8/14 from 8am until 12 noon. This will require Shawan Rd. to be closed between York Rd. and McCormick Rd. Contact Keith at 410-887-3554. |
