Mark Renbaum of Irwin L. Greenberg Commercial Corporation introduced the team from Silver Star Security after comments concerning the importance of security at the Towne Centre.

Before the Silver Star presentation, Capt. Marty Lurz, commander Precinct 7, BCPD gave a history of the cooperation between the precinct and the Towne Centre through the planning stages to assure that security was a prime concern.

Gee Cosper introduced a PowerPoint presentation on Silver Star Security. Gee has experience with the U.S. Secret Service and was formerly director of security for the Rouse Company. Keith Karas and Andrea Wehage continued the presentation by describing the training of security personnel and the detailed program at the Towne Center. The key ingredients are visibility and presence combined with an effective communications system. Unprecedented customer service will range from escort service to vehicles to jump starting vehicles. Particular attention will be paid to unauthorized gathering of young people without a shopping motive. Loitering will not be permitted.

Mark Renbaum stated that state-of-the-art digital exterior security cameras will be in place in three to six months.

Kelly Kosino of SHA gave a report on current road construction. Work has begun on resurfacing York Road between Beaver Dam Run and Thornton Mill Road. Completion is expected in early spring 2006.
