Forum Chairman Rick Webb opened the meeting to announce
that Roundtable Chairwoman Eileen Edwards will be retiring from KCI at
the end of the year. This would have been her last meeting as Chair of
the Roundtable but a family emergency prevented her attendance. Rick
praised her years of service to the Forum and assured her that she has a
permanent invitation to attend our events as our guest. Following the
meeting, I delivered a flower arrangement to Eileen with a card signed
by those in attendance.
Steven King of Loyola College explained the Internship
Program at Loyola. Undergraduate business administration and accounting
majors are required to participate in a work environment as a condition
for graduation. This is a great opportunity for employers and students.

Bert Randall of member Franklin & Prokopik led our
discussion this morning on immigration law compliance and I-9
preparation requirements. Bert’s presentation was accompanied by an
outline on the PowerPoint and a detailed handout on immigration law
compliance. Latest regulations are still awaiting implementation. For
