Chairwoman Christine Eichler welcomed the Roundtable.

Christine thanked Andy Roberts of Gevity for providing complimentary breakfast. If your company would like to participate in exchange for recognition and distribution of your company information, please advise. The cost is just $ 100.

Christine introduced Lori Eig and Julie Landis of Ergo Concepts, LLC. This morning Julie led our discussion on ergonomics in the workplace. Julie grabbed our attention early by stating that studies show that productivity increases by 24.7% when ergonomic solutions are applied in the work environment. Just a few of the disorders affected by work conditions are tendonitis, carpel tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, strain, bursitis, trigger finger and headaches. Addressing the causes produces good results. The number one risk factor is awkward posture. Temperature and lighting in the work area are additional factors.

Workrite Company displayed a workstation that addressed many of the issues detailed by Julie.
