Roundtable Marriott’s Hunt Valley Inn The Human Resources Roundtable was held during the Annual Meeting of the Forum. Christine Eichler welcomed everyone to the HR Roundtable
meeting and introduced Maury Weinstein, President of System Source.
Maury’s presentation was on the Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT) and its
use as a selection tool in the recruitment process. The Wonderlic test
measures adult intelligence, the ability to learn, and efficient and
accurate problem solving. It is used as a selection tool for hiring
because it is highly predictive of success. The Wonderlic test has been
around since 1937. Since then 120 million people have been tested. The
test is available in paper or computer form and takes 12 minutes to
administer. The Wonderlic matches candidates to positions where they can
be effective and satisfied, reduces turnover from employees who are over
or under-challenged, and upgrades job requirements by increasing the
ability level of hires. |
