Christine Eichler introduced Jeanne Sherwood of WellAdvantage to lead our discussion on wellness programs. After some statistics on the work place today compared to 1985 and the effect on the health of our workers, it is no wonder that the results are seen in increased costs to employees and employers. Sitting at a desk behind a computer can lead to obesity if there is no awareness of programs designed to get people moving. The statistics on the increase in obesity are discouraging and reflect the need to do something positive. Jeanne is passionate about increasing awareness of the problem and providing some simple remedies that can produce healthier employees and happier employers. Identifying the status of your employees through health fairs and health evaluation assessments can give you a picture of the health level of your employees while still maintaining their privacy. Then basic remedies can be applied to address the problems. Incentives can be used to reward participants. Everyone wins.

For more information, contact Jeanne at jsherwood@welladvantage.com or call 410-795-7579.
Jeanne’s positive enthusiasm reflects her experience as an intensive care nurse. Oprah…watch out!

Julie Andrew of Advance Business Systems announced an opening for an HR manager to replace her as a result of her maternity leave. Julie will be returning to Advance but in another position. If you are aware of a qualified applicant, please contact Julie at juliea@advancestuff.com.
