Release Date March, 2023

TRANSPORTATION: North-South Corridor Study – Update by Danielle Bridge

The Public Policy Committee has met on multiple occasions and reviewed the 7 alternatives outlined in the North-South the North-South Corridor Study thoroughly and does not believe any of these alternatives are in the best interest of the surrounding businesses and communities. It is understood that this is a federally mandated study. If that is indeed the case and the state is mandated to proceed with one of these alternatives then, in our opinion, the Bus Rapid Transit from Lutherville to UMMC (Alternative 2) would be the only option we would support. We believe Alternative 2 will be the most cost-effective means of providing transportation between these two points and will cause the least impact/disruption to the community, its businesses, and constituents.

Click here to find out more about the seven potential alternatives in this North-South Corridor Study. Feel free to email the project team in charge of the study rtp@MTA.maryland.gov to provide specific feedback or concerns on each alternative.

We also ask that you follow Wade Kach and/or sign up for his monthly news to obtain more information on upcoming public meetings.
